Spy On Your Competitors With GrowthBot
GrowthBot was introduced to the world at the end of 2016 by Dharmesh Shah (@dharmesh), founder and CTO of Hubspot. The goal was to release an all-in-one chatbot for marketing and sales campaigns. Based on the bot's features, the value proposition seems to be saving time in lead prospecting and information gathering. Overall, the bot was received with enthusiasm by the marketing community. One year later, GrowthBot made some updates and is still trying to win the heart of mainstream marketers. The feature that seems to resonate with most marketers is the ability to spy on competitors. Indeed, you can ask GrowthBot to tell you the ad words that your competitors are buying and it will give you that information. Tammy Duggan-Herd, PHD, Market Research Analyst at Campaign Creators did a good job explaining the key GrowthBot features in her demo video that she uploaded on December 2016 on her YouTube channel. Since then, the bot has been updated, but the video is still relevant to understand the value of GrowthBot.
2017 has been a rich year in the digital marketing world in terms of innovation. As AI continues to evolve, we can expect more and more integration of technology in the field of marketing. One of the widgets massively implemented this year by many marketers was chatbots to enhance the customer service experience. Facebook for that matter uses a chatbot to interact with business page account managers. The next logical step will be to integrate voice in the chatbot. Just to explore it, I sent a voicemail to the Facebook chatbot to see if it picks up audio. Not there yet. I look forward to discovering what developers have on their pipeline for 2018!
